FOREST HILLS ANNUAL GARAGE SALE Residents are welcome to participate, free of charge, in the Annual Forest Hills Garage Sale on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., both days. These dates were selected to coincide with the Keatington Subdivision Garage Sale on the same day to take advantage of the additional traffic in the area. Signs will be posted at both entrances to announce sale. If you are unable to participate on those dates, residents are welcome to have a garage sale on their own anytime.
DIGGING IN VOLLEYBALL COURT It has come to the Board's attention that children have been digging and leaving large deep holes in the sand in the volleyball court. While outdoor play is encouraged, as well as playing in the sand, leaving large deep holes in the court prevents residents wishing to use the court for volleyball from doing so. Please take a moment to speak to your children about playing and digging in the sand in the volleyball court.
PARK CLEAN UP AND PLAYGROUND MULCH APPLICATION The FH Board has tentatively scheduled Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 to clean up the park, clean and level volleyball court, repaint lines on basketball court, and apply mulch to all playground equipment areas. More details will be coming as dates get closer.
PARKING IN STREET In accordance with Forest Hills bylaws (Article VI, Section 7), over night parking in the streets is not allowed. Also, parking on the street when parking is available in a garage or driveway is preferred and encouraged especially where streets intersect. Our streets are narrow and large vehicles, such as moving or fire trucks, have a difficult time turning onto a street if vehicles are parked in the street by intersections.
CHANGES TO THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR HOME Thinking of changing something on the outside of your home? Maybe adding a deck? Cutting some trees down? In accordance with our bylaws, all these changes require residents to complete and submit an alteration/modification form. The form and the proceed can be found on the "Alteration/Modification Form" page of this website.
**Also note, that residents are not to make any changes to common areas (wooded area between Forest Hills and Silver Maple Lane facing Joslyn Road, the park or pavilion, the islands in each cul de sacs, etc.) without board approval.
REMINDER ABOUT PETS In accordance with our bylaws, all pets must be on a leash/rope when outside your home and supervised or when taking them for a walk. You are also required to clean up after your dog and properly dispose of the waste. If you would like your pet to run around unleashed, the Orion Oaks Dog Park, located on Josyln Road just south of Clarkston Road, is a great place to let your pet run free. You can also consider installing invisible fencing on your property. While your dog may be friendly, others may feel a dog running up to them, no matter the size of the dog, as a threat.
SAFETY TIPS It is always a good idea to make sure your outside porch or coach lights are on, your garage door is closed, and vehicles are parked and locked are in your driveway at night. Also, remember not leave any valuables in your vehicles that may tempt someone to break into it.
